I just adore photographing babies – they can bring tears to my eyes and make me laugh out loud, often at the same time.  Sometimes I feel like I barely remember that first year with each of my kids – it was all a blur of changing diapers and buckling and unbuckling the car seat and training for the Sleep Deprivation Olympics (please don’t tell me that’s not a sport, after all the hours I put in!)  Somewhere in the middle of all that chaos were those magical moments:   watching them sleep in my arms, the smell of their skin after a bath, the tiny hand wrapped around my finger and those eyes that looked at me like I was their whole world.  The 1st smiles, 1st laughter, 1st time rolling over, sitting up, walking… I really wished all that magic could have been spread out just a little more, because that first year just goes by way too fast.

I am so excited to announce our new baby portrait plan, appropriately called “Baby Love“!  It includes four full portrait sessions for your new little one, to capture all those 1st-year changes plus a gorgeous 12×30 Wall Frame with four 5x7s – one from each session.  For a limited time I am making the plan available for only $99 (a $538 value!)  This is such a great way to ensure you capture the milestones, and planning for this now will save you so much time and stress in the long run.  You’ll get a reminder phone call or email from my studio in time to schedule each included session, along with helpful tips and information about portraits for each stage.  Give me a call today and take advantage of the special pricing through June 30, 2010.

Wow, time truly does fly these days – it seems like it was just last week that I got a chance to photograph baby Dominick and posted a sneak-peek here.  After the major Christmas rush, I was finally able to finish the artwork on a few more of his portraits and I think they are gorgeous!  I can’t wait to order a few Gallery Wraps for the studio so I can look at them everyday.  I can’t decide what I love most about his little face – those wide open eyes or his perfect little round cheeks!  Babies… too sweet for words.

Due to a last-minute cancellation at the studio, I had time to squeeze in a little mini-session with 6 month old Dominick – boy, did I get lucky!  This sweet guy was just a bundle of happiness and I enjoyed every second of photographing him.  Since we weren’t in the studio, I created a cozy little set-up in between a dining room table and a large window.  It turned out to be a great spot, with plenty of sunshine for us to work with.  I think he would have been perfectly content to hang out with me (and my camera) and let me tickle his toes all day.Dominick09-1

I tried getting him to lay on his tummy on a pillow, but every time I moved my hands back to the camera, he did this little fishy swim-kick that slid him right off the back.  Not only was it adorable, but he didn’t even seem to mind that I tried another 10 times before finally giving up on that pose!  I was totally on Cloud 9 when the session was over and couldn’t wait to get back and load up the images for a preview.  This is just a sneak-peek from what is sure to be a set of my favorite images – I’ll definitely be posting more of these in the coming weeks!  Enjoy!
